The officers and management of Competitive Insights are committed to giving back to their community and society. They are active participants in supporting not-for-profit organizations by bringing industry best practices and know-how to these organizations to position them to be more efficient in helping those in need.
For 11 years, Competitive Insights has worked with Feeding America (www.feedingamerica.org) to offer supply chain improvement programs to various food banks around the country. In addition, CI has worked directly with a number of food banks on specific programs tailored for their operations.
Competitive Insights is a founding member of the American Logistics Aid Network (www.alanaid.org). Richard Sharpe, the firm’s CEO, is an officer of ALAN, which consists of 18 supply chain professional firms that provide resources to volunteer relief organizations in times of emergency and disasters. They compile and communicate donation needs to the logistics industry, leverage their members’ supply chain management knowledge and resources, and create an efficient process for providing the right goods and services in the right quantities at the right location, at the right time.
