The organization has been supporting not-for-profit organizations by bringing industry best practices and know-how to these organizations to position them to be more efficient in helping those in need.

ALAN’s specific efforts center on providing products and resources to Volunteer Organizations for Aid in Disaster (VOAD’s) including groups like The American Red Cross, The Salvation Army and other well respected relief organizations.

ALAN also leverages its members’ supply chain management knowledge and resources to enhance VOADs’ processes for providing the right goods and services in the right quantities at the right location, at the right time during emergencies and disasters.
